info & comments  (3) click on photograph to see previous entry One of the reasons why Whiteface Mountain is so popular is because you can drive to the top. Once you get there you have two options. Walk the stairway pictured above (this is only a small section of it) or walk down a shaft and take an elevator to the top. We decided to take the stairway. On the way back, I had a peek inside the elevator route and it had a neat feel to it so I photographed it.
