This one was taken on our road trip last fall. We left the hotel in Moab, Utah ~1:30hr before sunrise. The drive is about 45mins plus you need to walk a 5-10 minute trail to get here... I had never walked the trail so doing it for the first time with a flashlight was a neat experience. Part of me was afraid that I wasn't going to find it but I heard some talking and figured I was on the right path. I obviously wasn't the first one there but I got a good spot and after the sun broke through the horizon everyone relaxed a bit and started moving around so I was able to get try different angles and compositions.

When I go out on photoshoots I always take a moment to enjoy the location and this place was truly amazing, especially at sunrise... For me, it was up there with the sunrise we watched at the top of Haleakala crater on the island of Maui in Hawaii.
